EDMOND, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian's Stephanie Duncan scored two unassisted goals and wrecked Rogers State's bid to repeat as Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament champions Saturday in Edmond, Okla.

Duncan tallied two second half goals to lift the Lady Eagles to a 2-1 victory in the quarterfinal round of the SAC tournament. The loss signaled the end of the season for the RSU women who finished with a 13-6 record.

The Hillcats put up a good fight considering a number of key players were unavailable or limited due to injury. The teams battled through a scoreless first half despite 12 shots and four shots on goal by OC. Freshmen goalie Jessica McCutcheon kept RSU within striking distance with 12 saves.

Duncan put the Lady Eagles in front with a goal in the 41st minute. Sophomore Tiffany Roberts answered with an unassisted goal in the 61st minute to tie the game and keep hope alive for the Hillcats. However, Duncan came right back with another score just seven minutes later, propelling OC to a 2-1 advantage.

OC goalie Lisa Jorgensen was credited with one save in the victory as the Lady Eagles outshot RSU 24-7.

Rogers State (13-6, 6-4) completed its second season of women's soccer with a fourth place finish in conference standings. Coach Derek Larkin's club has posted an impressive 33-9 record through its first two years of competition.
