CLAREMORE, Okla. - Oklahoma City took control from the start and handed RSU its first conference loss, 85-53 at the Claremore Expo on Saturday.

The Stars jumped out to a 9-0 lead and held a comfortable 38-16 advantage at the half. Four OCU players finished in double figures, led by Laura Duncan with 17. The Hillcats shot just 30-percent from the field and made only one 3-point basket on the night. Katie Rice led RSU with 12 points and seven rebounds.

The Hillcats more than doubled their point production in the second half but were still outscored 47-37 by the 12th ranked Stars. Hayley KnifeChief tallied nine points while Yoda Woods finished with eight points and seven rebounds.

Rogers State (4-4) is now 1-1 in conference play and will look for its second SAC win on Thursday at John Brown. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. and the game can be heard live on RSU Radio 91.3 FM.
