OKLAHOMA CITY – The Rogers State men's soccer team tallied three goals over Oklahoma Christian to earn the Hillcats third Heartland Conference victory of the season with a 3-1 win Saturday evening at Eagle Soccer Field.

RSU tallied the first goal of the match on a Niall Masterson goal in the eighth minute of action. A Dylan Beaird cross found the junior midfielder Masterson who struck the ball of the crossbar and into the goal for the 1-0 advantage for his third of the season.

After the Hillcats held the lead 1-0 at intermission, Garron Hayes found the back of the net for the third time this season with a header off a Kevin Howard cross in the 51^st minute of play to claim what would be the game winning goal.

In the 64^th minute Necas Collins' cross found the head of Mathew Levenson putting RSU up3-0. OC was able to score in the 76^th minute but the Hillcats held off an Eagle rally for the 3-1 victory.

Mitchell Penton (1-4-0) tallied three saves in the RSU victory as Evan Helker suffered his seventh loss of the year for OC. The Eagles (3-9-1) outshot the Hillcats 18-10 on the evening.

Rogers State (5-8-1, 3-4-0) will face Dallas Baptist University in Heartland Conference action Monday on the road.
